Welcome to SunPoint Farm Sanctuary!

We are a community dedicated to transforming the world around us through our own inner transformation.

By transforming our own lives, we create a clearing and an opening within us, whereby we can serve others and heal the brokenness that is so prevalent in our world today. The opportunities for growth and community engagement at SunPoint Farm are many. We are engaging in a variety of activities including daily mindfulness practices, working with adults with disabilities, and farming with refugee communities from Bhutan and Burundi.

We recently were granted "covenanting community" status with the UUA - Unitarian Universalist Association, and are partnering with Grassroots Fund - New England Grassroots Environment Fund, who awarded us with a grant of $500, as well as partnering with NERT - New England Resilience and Transition network.

If you would like to join us in the game of “significant pursuit” then get in touch with us! We would love to have an opportunity to connect with you and expand our ever-growing community!

Join us for scheduled events at the farm. Learn about Organic Farming, Permaculture, and Mindfulnes as it's practiced here. View our schedule on our Meetup page, HERE! Meetup icon

About the New England Grassroots Environment Fund
The New England Grassroots Environment Fund (Grassroots Fund) energizes and nurtures long-term civic engagement in local initiatives that create and maintain healthy, just, safe and sustainable communities using stories, tools and dollars to fuel local activism and social change. Since 1996, the Grassroots Fund’s core grantmaking program continues to fund nearly 150 grants annually, giving more than $4 million in 20 years to initiatives by better than 1,700 community groups covering more than 60 percent of New England’s cities and towns. New England Grassroots Environment Fund awards help solve the problems and realize the promises in addressing climate change and energy action, local food, environmental health and justice, land and water and local economies.

SunPoint Farm Sanctuary is operated by a board of directors and works closely with the Unitarian Universalist Church of Manchester. We are a 28-acre family farm in Derry New Hampshire, bordered by a 128-acre conservation area, that intends to build a cooperative community, spiritual retreat center and productive farming operation. Currently, the farm is owned by Paul Doolittle, featured here, in this article, as the recipient of the "Martin Luther King Award" for his work with Bhutanese refugees at his Derry farm, where for seven years he has welcomed them to grow their own food.

Vision:

Our vision is for humanity to take an evolutionary leap beyond our cultural disease of separateness and fear. We are establishing a new vision of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Beloved Community” following Unitarian Universalist principles; where we honor and nurture all sentient beings by creating harmony within ourselves, with each other, and within the web of life.

Mission:

SunPoint Farm Sanctuary serves as a place to transform our collective sense of separateness, our underlying fear of vulnerability, and lifelong patterns of cultural addiction. We are engaged in experiential programs that serve pioneering individuals and communities who want to heal through interconnectedness. A lifestyle of radical simplicity and flourishing community will forge a bold future for ourselves and our planet.
